You probably don't need a better productivity system.

But a life that fits who you're becoming.

Depth Lab exists for people who know they're capable of more.

Some people stop growing once life becomes comfortable.

Others don’t.

They sense there is more potential to develop, more wisdom to gain, more meaningful work to do, more of themselves to bring into the world.

They care about how they live, who they are becoming, and the impact they have on the people around them.

Depth Lab exists for those people.

For those who understand that lasting growth doesn’t begin with better tactics alone, but with a deeper understanding of themselves.

This isn’t about optimising yourself. It’s about becoming the kind of person who brings greater wisdom, integrity, and contribution to what matters most.

The orientation of this work

Most people spend years developing skills, pursuing goals, and building successful lives.

What receives far less attention are the inner foundations beneath those things: the assumptions, fears, values, loyalties, and patterns that quietly shape how we think, relate, lead, and decide.

Depth Lab works at that level.

Because your outer life is not separate from your inner life. It grows from it.

'Depth Lab' reflects something about how this work is approached.

Depth:
because this work takes seriously what lies beneath the surface: the patterns, narratives, and inherited loyalties that shape how we live, and the deeper centre from which our clearest vision, creativity, and deeper wisdom arise.

Lab: because insight alone isn’t enough. This is a space where what is discovered gets tested—through honest reflection, concrete steps, and the slow work of growing into what is true for you.

They sense there is more potential to develop, more wisdom to gain, more meaningful work to do, more of themselves to bring into the world.

They care about how they live, who they are becoming, and the impact they have on the people around them.

They sense that growth is not just about personal success, but about becoming more capable of bringing their wisdom, creativity, leadership, care, and contribution fully into the world.

Depth Lab exists for those people.

For those who understand that lasting growth doesn't begin with better tactics alone, but with a deeper understanding of themselves.

This isn't about optimising yourself. It's about becoming the kind of person who can live, lead, love, and contribute with greater honesty, depth, and integrity.

Working at the level beneath the surface.

And when the inner foundations become stronger, clearer, and more honest, people often find that more of their real life begins to emerge as well. Their decisions shift. Their relationships deepen. Their work becomes more meaningful. Their contribution becomes more genuine and sustainable.

I'm Dan.

I haven't arrived at this work through a straight line.

I began my career in hospitality, managing hotels, before moving into finance and eventually running my own small business. In my late twenties, driven by a desire to understand myself more deeply and live with greater purpose, I left that world behind and entered the seminary to train as a Catholic priest.

Over the next seventeen years I immersed myself in a culture of formation, study, leadership, and service. I walked closely with people through grief, major life decisions, relationship challenges, identity shifts, questions of meaning and faith, and the many transitions that shape a human life.

Alongside accompanying others, I've had to face my own fears, ambitions, and inherited expectations. Those years gave me something no qualification alone can provide: thousands of hours of personal inner work and hundreds of conversations with people navigating what actually matters.

The work I offer today is not simply something I have studied. It is something I continue to live. The sensitivity, perspective, and presence I bring to coaching have been shaped as much by years of therapy, supervision, spiritual direction, and personal formation as by any formal training.

Those years also taught me something that continues to shape my work today: meaningful change rarely comes through information alone. It comes through honest self-understanding, sustained reflection, supportive relationships, and the courage to live differently.

Today my work sits at the intersection of psychology, spirituality, leadership, and human development. I help thoughtful people gain greater clarity about who they are, move beyond patterns that no longer serve them, and build lives that reflect what matters most.

It is a privilege to accompany people in that process.

Depth

Because this work takes seriously what lies beneath the surface: the patterns, narratives, and inherited loyalties that shape how we live, and the deeper centre from which our clearest vision, creativity, and deeper wisdom arise.

Lab

Because insight alone isn't enough. This is a space where what is discovered gets tested - through honest reflection, concrete steps, and the slow work of growing into what is true for you.

A lived synthesis,
not a theoretical menu.

My approach draws from a range of disciplines. Not as a theoretical menu, but as a lived synthesis shaped by formal study and personal experience.

Alongside formal theological training, I've invested deeply in depth psychology and Jungian thought, parts-based and Internal Family Systems approaches, contemplative and spiritual traditions, somatic and nervous-system awareness, and leadership and identity development.

These aren't abstract influences. They've been tested in my own inner life and in years of sitting with others through real and significant transitions.

Across these traditions runs a shared question: how do human beings grow beyond inherited patterns and learn to live from a deeper, more integrated centre?
